Get Crafty: Join us for 2026 Rock Painting & Beady Buddies!
Step into the ultimate maker space! This cozy, highly creative 5-day camp brings back the absolute best of classic, hands-on summer crafting. From weaving retro beady buddies to painting rock art, you’ll design awesome physical projects to keep, trade, or hide around the community to spread local joy!
Craft Tracks:
- Beady Buddy Legends: Master the art of line-weaving with pony beads and lanyard cord. Learn the step-by-step blueprints to build classic geckos, dragonflies, and custom animal keychains to clip onto your backpack.
- Kindness Rocks: Transform ordinary river stones into vibrant pieces of art using acrylics and fine-tip paint pens. Explore lettering hacks, cartooning techniques, and sealing tricks so your art survives the elements outdoors.
Program Details:
- Dates: Monday, August 17th – Friday, August 21st, 2026
- Time: 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM daily.
- Location: H.A.R.T. Community Center.
- Who: Artists and makers ages 6 and older.
- Tuition: $25.00 (All supplies included! We offer a "Pay What You Can" option to ensure all local creators can join!).

Ever wanted to start your own podcast, host a YouTube show, or interview fascinating people? Don't just sit on the sidelines—get behind the microphone! This fast-paced, interactive 4-day camp gives you the ultimate blueprint to master public speaking, build digital communication skills, and lead with true intention.
Course Highlights:
- The Anatomy of an Episode: Learn how to hook an audience, write compelling scripts, structure a show outline, and keep listeners tuned in.
- The Art of the Interview: Master the skill of asking great questions, active listening, and drawing out incredible stories from your guests.
- Digital Etiquette & Mastery: Develop absolute confidence in your delivery and learn the ultimate rules of "words we do and do not say" to maintain a professional digital footprint.
- Clear Messaging: Practice vocal control, body language basics, and the art of expressing your unique ideas clearly to a wide audience.

- Dates: Monday, August 24 – Thursday, August 27th, 2026
- Time: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM daily.
- Location: H.A.R.T. Community Center.
- Who: Teens and Youth looking to build epic communication skills.
- Tuition: $25.00 (We offer a "Pay What You Can" option to ensure all local youth can discover their voice!).

Are you ready to dive into the world of sewing? Whether you're a beginner or just looking to refresh your skills, our Sewing 101 course is the perfect place to start!

Course Highlights:
- Learn the basics of sewing in a friendly and supportive environment.
- Bring your own patterns and fabric.

Board meetings are generally held the 3rd Monday of each Month at 5:30 PM Location: HART Community Center, 354 Smith St (next to/behind the Senior Center)
